Born from the roots of the Mesopotamian empires. The art of Paul Batou has been my masterpiece of cultural knowledge, myth, and the suffering from the early people of Babylon and Assyria to the current inhabitants of Iraq. It is a reflection of the cowboy west and my journey to the United States.
My colors are united in one art piece reflecting the tone of the Earth, the language of the universe, the cry and pain of the oppressed people. On my canvas, the black, red and white are in harmony just like my soul. I would love people to achieve that kind of unity.
Celebrate the art.

My Last Thoughts About Iraq
This compilation is a collection of my memories as an Assyrian-Chaldean artist. The works contained here are my reactions to the suffering and the Sadness which has plagued Mesopotamia. In my poetry, I have made clear the pain, humiliation, and destruction of what was once known as the greatest civilization.
The work I have brought together here is about Invasions, wars, sanctions, and the suffering of so many people. It is a search for love, life, freedom, and peace.
